We live in the Bridgeport neighborhood and today we discovered a dead long-eared owl in the neighbors front yard next door. This is the second sighting between me and my brother.

The above photo of a Cooper's Hawk was taken by me, Steve Lospalluto on my farm in the Skagit Valley near Mount Vernon, Washington. I have a website for our farm based business where I have posted photos of birds that visit, nest , etc. on our farm. The blogger is 'hotlinking' to this photo on my website. We grow willow and produce beautiful willow baskets for home and garden. Check out http://www.dunbargardens.com/.

Everyone knows that it is possible to make a wind generator with a wire shield to protect the birds. If they want to line their pockets with money from the wind power generators, they must spend the money to do it safely. If they can't make money doing things the right way, then stay out of the business. They are insisting on using the earlier generations or the least costly applications when there is a correct and safe way to generate power from the wind. We are all held responsible for our actions so why should these people be above the law?
